Growth Mindset & Self-Confidence

Personal development became a priority for me early on. I read my first personal development book at the age of 13: How to Overcome Emotional Dependency. However, I never thought I’d one day become a Mediator. While I use the title « qualified Mediator, » I can’t easily fit into just one category. What we explore in my programs certainly has a significant impact on my clients’ lives and relationships—and my own. But the journey we undertake goes far beyond that.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset became a priority for me. What about you?

Over the years, I have read countless books on philosophy, psychology articles, and worked with some excellent coaches… What fascinated me most was the brain’s plasticity associated with personal development—my ability to evolve as an individual.

One of my greatest transformations, both personally and professionally, took place during my year of training in Mediation and Conflict Management.

    I go into detail about my journey on the About page, but to provide some context, here’s a summary. By 2020, I had been working in the corporate world for a few years. After a major project went wrong in Hungary, the situation deteriorated further. Tensions within the company were palpable at every level—structural, organizational, and managerial. Management failed to handle the conflict, which had already been brewing for months, leaving the team powerless in the face of the crisis. That’s when I decided to pursue training to become a certified Mediator, during which we were also supported by coaches. I couldn’t blame management for not knowing how to handle the conflict if I didn’t have the tools myself.

    As the work environment became increasingly difficult (lack of communication, high turnover, resignations…), this training had a huge impact on my communication, relationships, and work.

    Human skills (or soft skills) are not innate; they can be developed.

    My experience in this company was not an isolated case. I traveled frequently to meet our collaborators in the production plants. Almost all of them described a work environment prone to tensions. Despite being excellent in their field, the manager had not received training on handling workplace crises and was often left to rely on their own knowledge. But remember, human skills (or soft skills) are not innate; they can be developed.

    I spoke of a major transformation at that time because, in order to be effective as a Mediator, I had to confront my own shortcomings and undergo a deep process of deconstruction. I trained, sought guidance from coaches, and shifted my perspective on my career path and the corporate world. Many factors led me to where I am today, offering my best in my program Self-Mastery™ and in mediation.
